Dig deeper into Medicare Set Asides in Personal Injury Settlements

Some say Federal Law is clear: when settling an injury claim with a Medicare beneficiary all parties must take care to ensure that Medicare does not assume the burden of post-settlement medical care. What drives this thinking? Does such an obligation exist? And what are the “penalties” or “risk” to the parties if they do not take Medicare’s interest into account? When should parties get Medicare involved and what can they expect if Medicare looks under the hood? Annie M. Davidson, an experienced trial attorney with a background in both liability and workers’ compensation provides an overview of this critical aspect of a successful settlement.

This webinar qualifies for one hour CLE credit.
